Doctoral candidate
DC9 Emilio Ruini
Profile
I was born in 1998 in Modena, Italy, where I obtained my bachelor’s in biotechnologies at the university of Modena and Reggio Emilia. I then obtained my master’s in medical biotechnologies at the university of Milano-Bicocca (Milan, Italy).
During my master’s I started focusing on leukaemia translational research, by deciphering Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) metabolic vulnerabilities at the Fondazione Tettamanti research centre in Monza, Italy. I have now started my doctoral studies, through the MSCA-COFUND Carreras Pathfinders program, at the Leukemia Immuno-oncology lab. I am now focusing my studies on T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) translational research under the supervision of Dr. Laura Belver, by developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of the disease.
