Doctoral candidate

Profile
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Parma in 2021, where I had the opportunity to carry out an internship and a thesis project in Cytogenetics, focused on studying ALK and ROS1 mutations in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. This experience ignited my interest in cancer research, which led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Bari, completed in 2024. My Master’s thesis project was dedicated to exploring the therapeutic immunomodulation of intratumoral macrophages in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), a disease known for its high relapse risk and poor prognosis. My growing passion for oncology research has now brought me to the Josep Carreras Institute, where I am excited to join the Graupera-Rodilla labs as a PhD candidate within the CarrerasPathfinders MSCA-COFUND doctoral program. My doctoral project aims to investigate how chemotherapy impacts the endothelium in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), potentially contributing to relapse. I am eager to contribute to advancing our understanding of cancer relapse mechanisms and to support innovative approaches to improve therapeutic outcomes in aggressive lymphoma.
